12:48 Looking at this beta Temple of Time, it feels more like it's out in nature away from the town, and that kinda supports a little pet theory of mine regarding something in the release version. That being that the Temple of Time used to be farther away from the Market area, and the area that became the back alleys in the release version were meant to be a road leading out of the town toward the Temple. And this would make sense of the dying guard found in the alleys after you see Zelda and Impa fleeing from Ganondorf; if this was originally a road toward the Temple of Time, you'd have to run into him. But when that changed, he got tucked off there, unseen by most.

Wow. That is cool. This is supposed to be Time Link. However this resembles Twilight Link. It is due to the hairstyle and the dark green clothes. Maybe I am looking through the different Links too much. I got that impression. I see other people in the comment section have noticed. It is funny to see Link jump on platforms with the camera being the side. That reminds me of Mario. It is funny to switch gameplay genres like that. Maybe the switch can go the other way around. Mario could explore a vast world with a top down camera. He could solve puzzles, collect items and fight enemies. That would be very cool.

I couldn't find what DK64's first year sales were so I don't know if it shattered OoT's record setting first year sales but overall sales it came up about 1.5 million units short of OoT. Still one of the best selling N64 games, even outselling Banjo Kazooie.

The Pegasus Boots dash attack from the 2D games needs to be a staple of the series again.

Story wise it would make sense for Link to run faster and learn more moves. As Link was just a kid who transformed straight to an adults body he didn’t know what he was capable of, whereas overtime in this game he actually grew and now has experience with basic improved strengths!

Great hack, that mode 0 looks good, but i wonder how a mode 3, or 4 hack would look like, since it allows to display more than 2000 colors and you still have the 256 color palettes as well.

I basically put away my GameCube since I got the Wii. Just gave it another go when I got a 27" curved Panasonic CRT during the pandemic. Tried composite and thought it looked so bad. Finally got some cheapo 2 dollar Ali express s video cables a week ago and am so impressed. Really sharpens everything up. You can tell the Wii component kinda messes with the signal according to your pics. Kinda over exposed on highlights. Real happy I finally tried it out. Waiting on a ed64 plus to try out my N64 in 240p with s video

I know there was an unfinished North American version that came in the box, with the system too in the early nineties, they stopped selling them in mid nineties. But I’m quite sure it was titled smw Mario Bros 4 on the title. And it had some enemies from Mario bros 3 on it, but got scrapped from newer Mario world North American makes, which is why nobody knows anything about those enemies on it. But it was still different than this, since this game was sold in stores, with the system all in one box.

Last one seems cool but it totally clashes with my personal headcannon of the 64 games. I 100% believe link was looking for skull kid all along as he's the same one from ocarina of time. He remembers our scent and I believe link remembers him too and the promise they made.

a lot of these enemies and puzzles are from the gameboy games which is awesome! the candle guys, moving rock crabs, the switches on walls you throw the balls at... etc. so cool

If you own an unreleased game, how does hoarding it make it valuable? Nobody's going to send you a check for keeping it locked up on a shelf. And there's no reason to think it will fetch more money in the future, aside from inflation.

I would give anything for a parts of OoT and MM combined to create an awesome MMO. Limitations of course, like only so many players per map and no real OP stuff but man it would be awesome to go on adventures and competitions. After school, me and friends would argue who would win if my link vs your link, talk about playing as Sheik with ninja abilities and different goals in levels, playong kokiri character's, Hylian soldiers, etc. And what it would be like if we worked together to tackle some hard bosses. I still wish an MMO could be made like that. A Sheikah ninja, a Hylian soldier, a Kokori adventurer, Goron brawler and a magician of some kind, doing crap together, stopping by LonLon Ranch or shops just having fun...
